The money raised at this event will go directly to facilitate two student programs at the Lansing, MI, Marvin E. Beekman Center (a school for handicapped children and young adults ages 3-26).

Student Program #1—ACE

Finance the Animal Care Education (ACE) program.

The Animal Care Education Center teaches students how to care for animals, manage money for purchasing food and supplies, and shop wisely in community stores for those supplies. The ACE program is a vocational transition site, allowing students to transfer skills learned in the classroom to a hands-on instructional area. This prepares them for life upon graduation from Beekman.

Student Program #2—BTRC

Subsidize the Beekman Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC).

BTRC offers horseback riding and cart driving lessons, free of charge to Beekman students during school hours. These lessons help in cognitive development, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and social development.

The Animal Care Education program and Beekman Therapeutic Riding Center receive no school funds from the Lansing School District therefore, your support of this car show and your contributions are very important for the continuation of these vital programs.

If you are a new contributor or a returning supporter, we look forward to working with you this year. Cars and Bikes for Special Kids, the students and staff greatly appreciate your support.

Sincerely,

Andy & Jill Gilbert
